The Kōura light takes inspiration from the delicate, droplet-like form of New Zealand’s native freshwater shrimp, known as 'kōura' by the indigenous Māori people. David drew not only from the shape of this unique creature but also from the traditional woven traps once used by Māori to catch kōura, incorporating their intricate craftsmanship into the design.
Kōura is primarily used as a statement piece, designed to captivate and add sculptural elegance to any space. Its presence commands attention, often finding a perfect home over a bar, within an entryway, or as a focal point in stairwells and halls. The Kōura’s flowing form and layered structure bring a serene beauty to interiors, creating a sense of calm and purity. Available in a range of finishes, each one enhances Kōura's natural grace, allowing it to harmonize with both modern and classic settings alike.

All wooden lights are intended for use in dry interior conditions only, and can be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened in warm water when light is switched off.
The light must be installed by a qualified Electrician in accordance with national wiring regulations - DO NOT attempt to install it yourself. Intended for dry interior spaces.
